× 1 John 5: 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

exclamation-circle Healing for my Right Knee

6 months 1 week ago - 6 months 4 days ago #180 by Wombatus
This is an "edit" to my original prayer request.
My local doctor....Dr.Sumedha Ekanayake has put me forward for a right knee replacement surgery.
I have yet to actually go and see the Knee Specialist, in Warrigul, about an hour away from my home town of South Dudley.
All I now ask, is that Jesus guide and help the Knee Specialist "decide" on the best action for my knee injury.
So if you can pray for my right knee injury situation, I am so very grateful.
Blessings, from Diane.

Hi Wombatus, I am continuing to pray for you through this painful time, since I private messaged you. I get knee issues with my ultra-running training, where I do to mush and get overuse injuries, or the knee gets pain on the side of it with tight leg muscles.

But Osteoarthritis in the knee is an awful pain and can be chronic with even painkillers not touching the pain. Here in Scotland we cannot get to clinics to see a doctor or get any kind of physio treatment with the lockdown.

When this lockdown is finished and people get to see a doctor, there is going to be thousands dying of cancer and other ailments that are to late to cure.

I was thinking about Jesus, if He would have had a kind of injuries and suffered pain, maybe like when he was younger, hitting a finger with a hammer doing his carpentry. (which is not in the Bible ha ha)

We know when God sent His son Jesus to live here on earth, He lived around people who suffered and had compassion to heal many of them.
Jesus himself suffered the cruel death on the cross, he did not deserve it because He lived a perfect sinless life. It is something I cannot comprehend, is the pain He went through, as he took the punishment for the world with our sins placed on Him. He did this willingly for us because He loves us and wants us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

Even reading through Job, his life was a mess where everything went wrong, with losing his family, his possessions Job 1:13-22 and had health issues Job 2:7. His faith towards God never wavered and I think we can learn from this.
I remember my uncle, when I nursed him over the few months before he went to the Lord, I remember one morning, I had to fly home and we had a good cry together.

He quoted Rev 21:4 KJV And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

This was his hope, he could not wait to be pain free. From a child he was always in pain, when he was a toddler his whole body was scolded in boiling water from a pan on the stove, and through the years he has always battled cancer in the nose, he has spinal disk problems and diabetes.

He always had hope and couldn’t wait to be in the presence of the Lord and I think we need this attitude when we suffer chronic pain or illnesses that have no relief, we need to cling on to Jesus.
