Christians on Alcohol use.

Big issue this week in the UK is the government concern on alcohol abuse and the effect it has on society, family and personal selves brings about damaging effects.

‘Drunk Tanks’ could be a problem solver with anti-social behaviour from drunkeness for more info read this article it seems to work in Europe and the USA.

Here is a good article on DID JESUS MAKE ALCOHOLIC WINE? by the late Bruce Lackey

Telegraph cartoonist targets preposterous council prayer ban

Telegraph cartoonist targets preposterous council prayer ban

The cartoonist in the Telegraph shows how stupid on how the secular society has gone to get rid of Christianity.

At the weekend with my Ramblers walking group we discussed this and out of all of them they thought this was so stupid and a majority of folk I have spoken to this week, think the same.

What’s your thoughts?

Anyone out there heard of Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome (PDA) or have kids affected by it? I could do with some help from professionals in Scotland.

Shocked at Whitney Houston death lastnight Saturday Feb. 11, 2012 aged 48

I am very stunned still of the passing away of Whitney Houston who died last night. I was listening to 5 LIVE during the night hearing famous people who knew her giving their shocked views on her passing away.

I am not sure if she was a believer or not but she grew up as a child with the influence of the Gospel through her mother and I am sure seeds were planted through the preaching she heard. I am sure the Holy Spirit would of convicted her before her passing, but we will never know with our life on earth.

I was brought up with her music where she broke all music serotypes of black and white type music with her talent she could put her voice to any thing.

I heard Simon Cowell was interested in her becoming a judge on X factor, I wish it was sooner because I feel he would of protected her and helped her with the evil of life that comes with superstardom

Euthanasia is it right or wrong.

Again with this debate of Independence for Scotland we always have euthanasia come up with a bill or application to the Scottish parliament to pass and legalise it, , the bill has never been passed but a big supporter for it Margo MacDonald is getting more influence it it may go through in the future. I know some EU country’s have this  assisted suicide and euthanasia practice and some states in the USA have it.

I was wondering how does this effect a Christians standpoint and what does the Bible tell us about it.

Christian views on Independence for Scotland.

Big debate happening in the UK is an independence for Scotland, where it will have total control in government and economics etc.

I have seen EU country’s do OK for themselves but see the Republic of Ireland struggle to survive being under the Euro currency.

There are so many questions needing answered right down to the smaller detail on how it will effect individuals and families.

What will happen to the church, will the church of Scotland have rule like the Church of England, I think it would be a disaster with the C of S so liberal and it would make this nation more pagan. I feel it is important to keep our Queen which is the head of the C of England and the Bishops have an influence of the government such as in the house of Lords. They did great yesterday in helping the lower class of people  who have been brought up in middle, higher classes of culture in helping them to survive, paying for rent and putting food on their families tables.

I know some of the states in the USA are self governing, where they have different rules on the death penalty, carry guns and euthanasia etc. But the nation has the same social welfare and insurance for paying for health etc, this is kind of the same as the UK with  each part like Wales, Scotland, N. Ireland and England are separate states with some self rule but have the unity of being under Great Britain and a Queen who is a gospel sharing monarch for the UK and the Commonwealth.

What is your thoughts?

Testimony of a man called John Wilson

This was a testimony of a man called John at the Perth Convention in 1985 with Prof. J.D. MacMillan. This is also for a Christian wife for encouragement who is married to a man lost in the world but through prayer he was saved.
