Christian views on Independence for Scotland.

Big debate happening in the UK is an independence for Scotland, where it will have total control in government and economics etc.

I have seen EU country’s do OK for themselves but see the Republic of Ireland struggle to survive being under the Euro currency.

There are so many questions needing answered right down to the smaller detail on how it will effect individuals and families.

What will happen to the church, will the church of Scotland have rule like the Church of England, I think it would be a disaster with the C of S so liberal and it would make this nation more pagan. I feel it is important to keep our Queen which is the head of the C of England and the Bishops have an influence of the government such as in the house of Lords. They did great yesterday in helping the lower class of people  who have been brought up in middle, higher classes of culture in helping them to survive, paying for rent and putting food on their families tables.

I know some of the states in the USA are self governing, where they have different rules on the death penalty, carry guns and euthanasia etc. But the nation has the same social welfare and insurance for paying for health etc, this is kind of the same as the UK with  each part like Wales, Scotland, N. Ireland and England are separate states with some self rule but have the unity of being under Great Britain and a Queen who is a gospel sharing monarch for the UK and the Commonwealth.

What is your thoughts?
